Week of November 14th-18th, 2016

On Monday and Tuesday of this week the students will finish up work on their Handscape drawings.  I added an extra work day on Tuesday because it looked as if most needed a little extra time.  We will evaluate and critique them on Wednesday the 16th.

The first Sketchbook assignment of the 2nd quarter was turned in last Friday.  I spent the weekend grading them and was not happy with the results.  I gave the sketchbooks back to them on Monday and have required all students to rework or redo them by FRIDAY the 18th.  We will go over some of the areas that students had a difficult time with either Tuesday or Wednesday.

On Thursday we will begin work with using colored pencils.  We will start with some exercises and then I will introduce the next project (hopefully, by Friday).

1)  WEDNESDAY, NOV. 16th:  Handscape Drawings are DUE.  Also, the Art Club will be taking a field trip to the Makerspoace at the downtown library after school.  See News and Events for more information.

2)  FRIDAY, NOV. 18th:  Reworked Sketchbook Assignment DUE

3)  THURSDAY, NOV. 24th:  COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITY!  Help Face painting after the Price Hill Thanksgiving Day Parade.  The time would be from 9:30-12:30 am.  We will be at St. Lawrence Hall.  Please see Mrs. Plagge if you are interested or would like more information.
