Week of April 9th-13th, 2018

COUNTDOWN TO BONANZA - 18 DAYS FROM THE 9th

Period 2:  This week we will begin with a critique and evaluation for the Gelli Print Collages.  We will start work on Monday for the landscape monoprint.  This will be a fast piece that will be finished by FRIDAY, APRIL 13th at the end of the period.  

Period 3:  This week we will work on the 3 or more Gelli Print Collage pieces that will be DUE at the end of the period on THURSDAY, APRIL 12th.  I will also look at anyone's Bonanza sketches that I have not seen yet.

DATES AND DEADLINES:

  1. MONDAY, APRIL 9th and 10th: Sketches for Bonanza projects need to be ready to look at during class.  Make sure you have a sketch, sizes, list of materials, and be able to explain if it does anything special or out of the ordinary.  

  2. MONDAY, APRIL 9th:  Period 2:  Critique and Evaluation for Gelli Print Collage pieces

  3. THURSDAY, APRIL 12th:  Period 3:  Minimum of 3 Gelli Print Collage pieces need to be finished by the end of class.  Anything above 3 will be considered Extra Credit. 

  4. THURSDAY, APRIL 12th:  Art Open Studio from 2:30-8:00 pm in the Art Room. 

  5. FRIDAY APRIL 13th:  Period 2:  Landscape Monoprint is DUE at the end of the period

  6. MONDAY, APRIL 16th:  Work begins on the construction of the Big Heads

  7.  TUESDAY, APRIL 17th-Day of Service for Mr. Klusman.  10 days until Bonanza Day

  8. MONDAY, APRIL 23rd:  Poster Club will be meeting in the Art Room after school until approximately 4:00.   

  9. WEDNESDAY, April 25thPRE-BONANZA NIGHT- If it is easier to drop off your Bonanza the night before, the gym will be open from 6-8 pm. 

  10. THURSDAY, APRIL 26thBONANZA DAY—This is the day that all the Bonanza pieces are brought in, excluding pieces too big to fit inside…It’s like Christmas Day in the Art Room!!! (If you’re absent or do not have it on THIS day your exam grade will suffer IMMENSELY- 10 points for every day it is late!  **The only Bonanzas not coming in April 26th are pieces that won’t fit into the school.  These are displayed on the day of the Art Show –They are to be set up by 12:30, and taken home by 4:30 that day.  (Failure to do this impacts negatively on your exam grade)

  11. SUNDAY, APRIL 29th - THE ART SHOW- 1-4 pm- Bring your mom, your dad, your family, your girlfriend, your neighbors’ kids, your hedgehog- make it a celebration of great art!
