The Elder Art Dept. is pleased to announced that it will be exhibiting student work the Pendleton Art Center in the studio space known as Studios@510 this weekend. The 25 Elder pieces that we selected will be on display along with works from students at Walnut Hills. The show will be open to the public on Friday January 29th from 6-10 and there will be a reception for the artists, family, friends and general public on Saturday January 30th from 11-3. (I've attached two flyers that a Walnut Hills graphic design student created for the event.) Studios@510 are located across the cobble stone road from 8-story warehouse portion of the Pendleton Art Center.
Here is some additional information about the Pendleton Art Center. It is home to over 200 different types of artists and each artist shares or has their own studio. At the end of every month, the studios are open to the public, which is referred to as “Final Friday “and "Second Look Saturday" Our students' work will be shown during this month on 1/29 and 1/30. During these events, the Pendleton Art Center hosts approximately 600 guests and valet parking is offered for $5. Saturdays are not as crowded usually receiving around 300 guests. Parking on Saturday is free. You are welcome to visit either day to view the students' work as well as the artists who are part of “The Pendleton"
*Please note that no alcohol is served in the Studios@510 (the building in which our students work will be displayed.) The Warehouse portion of the Pendleton Art Center is 8 floors of art and does have some alcohol in studios. We suggest parents accompany students on tours if there is concern.
