For the second year in a row, Nine Catholic High Schools in the Cincinnati area will participate in the 2017 Catholic High School Art Exhibition entitled “Imagine Our Spirit” generously hosted by The Flats Art Gallery in the Price Hill Incline District from March 25th – April 2nd.
The four students representing Elder in the show are:

Artist Kurt Grannan, professor at Mt. St. Joes, and Keith Benjamin, professor at the Art Academy of Cincinnati, juried the show. They have curated a diverse range of exceptional work into the show from traditional media, to multimedia, digital, and large-scale, three-dimensional works. We are super proud to be showcasing such a strong group of students that represent the ongoing spirit and tradition of Catholic High Schools of our area. Join us for a catered opening reception Saturday, April 1st from 1-4 p.m. and vote for your favorite People’s Choice artwork. Also find out the scholarship winners at the 3pm awards ceremony – $400 will go to best in show, $200 second place, and $100 third place, plus a $50 gift card to the People’s Choice recipient. KB Partners LLC gifted the generous scholarships.
The exhibition was organized by Elder High School art teachers David Buetsche and Kim Plagge in collaboration with Mother of Mercy art teachers Theresa Murphy and Murray Dwertman. 40 artworks are expected at the show; participating high schools include Elder, St. Xavier, McAuley, Mother of Mercy, Mount Notre Dame, Roger Bacon, Seton, St. Ursula and Ursuline Academy.
The Flats Art Gallery is located at 3028 Price Avenue in the Incline Arts District of East Price Hill. Full exhibition dates and hours are Sat 3/25 & Sun 3/26 (1-4 PM); Wed 3/29 (5-8 PM); Sat 4/1 & Sun 4/2 (1-4 PM)
