Art In Root Program

For the 2nd year in a row, the Elder Art Department has participated in Hamilton County Park’s Art in Root program. This is a 3 step program beginning with a naturalist visiting the school with animals for students to sketch and take pictures. The second part is a field trip to a Hamilton County Park. This year the park was Shawnee Lookout where students were able to hike, sketch and take pictures in the natural environment. The third part is to create artwork based on the “Wings of Wonder” theme for this year’s program. The work is being shown in an exhibit at Woodland Mound Park through April 9th.

Students who have work displayed are: Drew Brown, John Conners, Simon Feist, Luke Hastings, TJ Jung, Quentin McFarren, Ethan Plagge, Brian Ridner and Jason Thomas.
